Our polished unlacquered brass collection offers a wide range of door and window hardware. Unlacquered brass is simply brass left without a protective lacquer coating. While most brassware includes a layer to shield it from wear and oxidation, unlacquered brass is intentionally exposed to develop a natural patina over time. As it ages, this finish darkens and gains character, resulting in an elegant, timeless appearance. The original golden shine of unlacquered brass can be easily restored with a light buffing.
